Monthly meetings with speakers on craft, marketing, and other aspects of traditional and independent publishing.
Currently, we have monthly general meetings (by Zoom) with guest speakers on the third Thursday evening of the month, Marketing & Promotion meetings on the second Thursday evening of the month, and Read & Write meetings on the first Thursday evening of the month.
Members-only dinners and events, July and August, December.
Take part in special events such as Word on the Street and MOTIVE, book author fairs held annually in Toronto.

How to Join/Renew:
Joining Sisters In Crime is a two-part process. There are two separate membership fees, two separate registration forms. Both must be completed to join Sisters in Crime.
Part 1: Membership with the national organization is required to join a local chapter. Being a member at the national level provides numerous benefits, including access to an archive of webinars, write-ins, discounts on magazines and publishing industry resources, as well as newsletters offering useful advice and updates on the art and business of writing.
There are different membership categories and prices. Professional (writer) fee is currently $60 (US) annually.
Note: At the National site, you will have to create a username, password, etc. When you are asked to indicate what local chapter, you belong to, choose: “Chapter Dues: Not Paying Chapter Dues Online”. Our chapter collects its own dues, which you will see below. You will not choose a chapter affiliation within the National organization. Once you are a member, and you advise us that you have joined National and paid their fee, we can assign you to our chapter at the National site.
Join with Sisters in Crime (National). If you already belong, you can renew using your existing user name, password and should receive a renewal notice each year from National.
Once you have joined Sisters in Crime, National, (or renewed), you can return to this page and join or renew your Toronto Chapter membership below.
Part 2: Join or renew with the Toronto chapter by completing the form below. Annual Dues are $25 Canadian or US Funds if paid by e-transfer and $30 if paid by PayPal. Clicking the submit button on the form below will take you to a page with payment instructions.
